Student Highlights

American Spirit Academy expects students to excel academically and to give back to the community through service.  Additionally, students have many events designed to strengthen their friendships.  This page is dedicated to the accomplishments and opportunities of our students both in and out of the classroom.
Many of these events are highlighted on our picture pages as well.

Fall 2009:  (link to pics)
- students begin new programs in Latin and history     
- students collected food for local families and donated through the Salvation Army & The Way Station
- high school students helped to distribute Thanksgiving food to more than 200 families through the
  Salvation Army
- high school student praise team students lead in weekly chapel time
- students learn through hands-on field trips
Winter 2009-2010: (link to pics)
- new National Honor Society (NHS) students were inducted
- high school students helped organize and distribute toys and food  to local families through the
  Salvation Army
- fourth grade students collected "shoe box" gifts for children overseas at Christmas time
- selected 7th and 8th graders attended the Jr. High leadership conference in February
- selected 3rd-8th graders attended the ACSI Math Olympics - students returned with 7 placement
  ribbons
- 2010 senior athlete's are honored
- 2010 homecoming court is named and students have homecoming festivities at local Country Club

- juniors and seniors go to Jersey City for mission trip
- sophomores go to Columbus for mission trip
